We help schools find staff
The Teacher Network is a recruitment agency that specialises in finding staff for schools in South Africa. We do not supply schools in other countries with South African teachers (with the occasional exception of ISASA members in neighbouring countries). We help schools find teachers for permanent and temporary, full-time and part-time posts as well as other school staff. Most of our clients are independent schools but we also work for some state schools. We have clients in Gauteng, KwaZulu Natal, the Cape, and Limpopo Province.
Need a teacher?
If you are a Principal looking for staff, send us an e-mail, giving the information we need to help you find the right person, or phone us. Please include the start and (if appropriate) end date, and whether the post is full-time or part-time (ie only certain hours of the day or days of the week), permanent or temporary.
If you are a teacher looking for a new post:
e-mail your CV, as a Word document, to TTN@TeacherNetwork.co.za. If you haven't heard from us within three weeks, please re-send it. NB Non-South Africans/SA Residents need work permits. We do not assist you in obtaining these unfortunately.

From time to time, clients in the commercial world want to employ ex-teachers.
What does the service cost?
It costs the applicant nothing.
Charging a registration fee is considered unethical by the industry's professional body, and is usually illegal in terms of The Skills and Development Act 97 of 1998 (Sub-regulation 8A & B) - unless the registration fee is less than R 1 (one Rand). Our fee for finding a teacher for a normal teaching post in a South African school is 8% of the teacher's gross annual package in the first year of employment, and (subject to certain conditions) we offer a 100 Day Guarantee. There are different fees for placing someone in an admin post, a Principal post, a part-time post, or a post where the employer is not a school in South Africa, and these are spelt out in our Terms of Business.
Please note that the language of most of our client schools is English. The ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English, and to comprehend English at mother-tongue level is an inherent requirement of all of these posts. If your CV or covering letter suggests that you do not meet this requirement, we cannot include you in our database.
