HOW DOES IT WORK ?
The Teacher Network is a recruitment agency. Where we differ from other recruitment agencies is that we specialise in finding staff for schools, specifically South African schools, and we charge a very much lower percentage fee than most agencies working in the commercial world.
WHAT DOES IT COST ?
8% – 10% of the successful teacher’s Cost to Company (excluding boarding benefits, and schooling subsidies). Please email us for further details and/or a copy of the Terms of Business.
CAN THE SCHOOL DEDUCT THE COST FROM THE TEACHER’S SALARY?
No.
WHAT ARE THE DISADVANTAGES OF USING THE TEACHER NETWORK TO FIND STAFF?
None that we can think of.
We don’t waste your time with useless candidates.
We don’t send you people who aren’t able to do the job.
If you pay the fee by the due date, ie within seven days of commencement of employment as per the letter of appointment, and meet certain other conditions, there is a One Hundred Day Guarantee.
If you don’t choose any of the candidates we’ve put forward, there is no fee, and all costs that we have incurred in our search for a suitable candidate for you are for our account.

ARE THERE STILL ANY GOOD TEACHERS OUT THERE?
Thousands. And we have the CVs of lots of them.
WILL THE TEACHER NETWORK HEAD HUNT ON MY BEHALF?
No. Teachers send us their CVs voluntarily. We don’t approach teachers who haven’t already connected with us. We don’t poach.
DOES THE TEACHER NETWORK ACCEPT EVERY ASSIGNMENT ITS GIVEN?
No. We don’t work for schools that don’t have their own websites and social media presence, nor for stand-alone schools in their first year of operation. We also don’t accept assignments where the rate of pay is lower than that of a first year teacher at a government school. We only work with schools where the Principal communicates with us via his/her own professional email address.
